The UVa Football team gets their first win of the season. It’s just what Cav fans needed after a rough start to the season, but for many it’s not the game that’s the most exciting part of rooting for the Hoos.
The tail gate and pre-parties can be just as fun as the game.
“I’ve been walking around singing all day ‘It’s the most wonderful time of the year,’” said Carol Adams, a Hoo fan for years.
They call Carol “The Space Lady.” That’s because she’s in charge of blocking off parking spaces for her tail gate crew at every Cav home game. This year her crew of 50 has sixteen parking spots.
They send out a tail gate email a week before the game and start partying five hours before kick-off.
Hoo fans at Saturday’s game were ready to look forward and put last week’s loss behind them.
Saturday Scott Stadium was packed with more than 58,000 fans.
The Cavaliers take on UNC at Chapel Hill next Saturday.
