Local Police Investigate Armed Robbery

Charlottesville Police are investigating an armed robbery.

It happened around 1:30 Sunday afternoon at the Belmont Market.

Police say two black males entered the store, one displaying a handgun, and demanded money from the cash register.

Both suspects left the scene on foot.

One suspect is described as 17-25 years old, tall and slender, last seen wearing lot white t-shirt, knee length jean shorts and back bandanna.

Anyone with information is asked to call crimestoppers, that number is 434-977-4000.
