Two people were taken to UVA Medical Center Sunday night after they were hit by a van.
It happened just before 9 p.m. along 9th Street in Charlottesville. Police described the victims' injuries as non-life-threatening.
Police stayed on the scene investigating for more than two hours. Authorities also say the driver of the van remained on the scene following the crash.
Police do not believe speeding or alcohol played a role in the accident.
