Gas Prices Up In Virginia

September 13, 2007

Typically gas prices drop after Labor Day but AAA is reporting that the average price of gas in Virginia is $2.66 a gallon, up 5 cents in the past two weeks and 19 cents from this time last year.

Gas prices in Virginia dropped 20 cents between the fourth of July and Labor Day. AAA attributes the increase to higher crude oil prices. Analysts also say gas prices jumped because of a strong demand from motorists over the Labor Day weekend.
