Betting on those lucky six numbers earned T.J. and Bernard Adcock an easy $82.5 million dollars.
Just as easy was the way the brothers picked those numbers just two weeks before.
"The first set of numbers were picked by the easy pick, but none of them came out that week. Two weeks later he decided to play those numbers again," said Bernard.
Giving his hand a second chance proved to be the smartest move for T.J., who went right to his brother with the big news.
"He said Berny, i need to talk to you. I'm thinking oh Lord what's the matter now? We got outside and he said I think we got a problem man. He said look at these numbers and i looked at those numbers and I said holy...," said Bernard.
Holy? Or simply blessed. But, these brothers say they were making it just fine before the lottery, and that's the way it will stay.
Their first purchase was just a few groceries.
"We had plenty of steak. Oh yes and we had plenty of hog chitlins," said Bernard.
The brothers decided against taking the lump sum and instead will get annual payments of over $3 Million a year for the next twenty-six years.
