Constitution Day Celebrated

September 17, 2007

Monday at James Madison’s Montpelier home, hundreds gathered to celebrate the signing of the historic document. The celebration included patriotic songs and a chance to sign a constitution. Those in attendance say Montpelier is a fitting place to celebrate.

“This is where Madison more than likely put together the Virginia Plan that he went off to Philadelphia with,” said Christian Cotz, Montpelier Student Coordinator.

Monday’s events were free to the public.
