UVa Business School Dedicating Jefferson Sculpture

September 18, 2007

UVa's Darden School of Business will dedicate a bronze sculpture of Thomas Jefferson Saturday.

The nine foot sculpture depicts Jefferson completing his survey of the University's future grounds back in 1817. School officials say the sculpture at Darden is to remind everyone that the business school is an integral part of UVa.

The sculpture was conceived and funded by the Darden class of 1974. The sculpture will be dedicated on Saturday at 9 a.m. in Flagler Court.
