Drivers in Virginia could see a drop gas prices this summer, as a result of Governor Bob McDonnell's new transportation plan.
AAA is estimating that gas prices in the Commonwealth will drop six-cents per gallon as the retail gas tax is replaced with a lower tax at the wholesale level,
They predict that the average price could drop to $3.34 a gallon, which would make Virginia the fourth most affordable state for gas.
This is all part of the plan that was passed by the General Assembly this year, and is to go into effect July 1.
