AARP led a public forum at the Senior Center ton Wednesday to talk about the future of Social Security.
The group led a discussion about the issues facing the program and what can be done to save it. Each senior got a chance to vote on several options that could help, and AARP will take those results and bring them to Washington.
"We're outlining for them about four or five choices that we have to strengthen Social Security going into the future,” says AARP State Director Bill Kallio. “We give them the pros and cons of each one, and then we give them an option through digital voting to have their voice heard."
The AARPP says their goal is to take the political spin out of the discussion on Social Security.
