Amber Alert Cancelled, Child Found Safe

UPDATE:

The amber alert for 1-year-old Alexis Carwile has been cancelled.

State police confirm the child has been found safe.

Her mother, Jennifer Carwile, was arrested in Prince George's County, MD around 6:30 Friday morning. The child is in protective custody.

UPDATE:

State police confirm that Eric Eugene Black and the car that he was reportedly driving were both apprehended early Friday morning. But 1-year-old Alexis Carwile and 35-year-old Jennifer Carwile were not with him, and are still missing.

Police think they may be headed toward Washington, D.C.

One-year-old Alexis Rose Carwile was abducted on Thursday afternoon, and was last seen on Lower Liberty Road in Halifax. She is considered to be in extreme danger.

She is described as being black, with black hair and brown eyes, and she was last seen wearing an orange shirt, jeans, tennis shoes, and a pink jacket.

Police are looking for two suspected abductors. 41-year-old Eugene Black is described as a black male, five-feet-seven-inches tall, weighing 145 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes.

And 35-year-old Jennifer Dawn Carwile is described as a white female with red hair and green eyes, who is five-feet-five-inches tall and weighs 170 pounds.

The two may be traveling in a brown 1985 Nissan station wagon with Virginia license plates reading XNJ-9177. They may be headed north, possibly during Washington, D.C.
