A car accident on Route 29 in northern Albemarle County snarled traffic Sunday afternoon.
The car overturned into the median around 4:30 p.m. near the intersection with Dickerson Road, just about seven miles south of the Greene County border.
Albemarle County Police say one person was trapped in the car. He was flown by the Pegasus helicopter to the University of Virginia Medical Center. There's no word on the extent of his injuries.
The accident closed one lane of Route 29 northbound for more than an hour.
