Albemarle Co. Board of Supervisors Discuss Plans for the Local Economy

Jan. 30, 2014

The Albemarle County Board of Supervisors had its first meeting on Thursday, working toward an Economic Development Program.

Today, supervisors held a joint work session with the Economic Development Authority, to discuss their goals and plans for improving the local economy.

By March, the board plans to review cost information for establishing an Economic Development Office.

By April or May, they want to have begun the hiring process.

No action was taken at today's session. There is another meeting in February to continue discussing the program.
