Albemarle Co. Police Seek Suspect in Smash and Grabs

The Albemarle County Police Department is asking for the public’s help in identifying a suspect believed to have been involved in several thefts from vehicles.

Police say a suspect smashed the windows of at least four vehicles on Saturday, March 22, and stole items from inside. The suspect took several purses and credit cards, then used them at Wal-Mart, Kohl’s and Target.

The vehicles were located at several different areas, including Chris Greene Lake, Albemarle Square and the Rio Hill Shopping Center.

It is believed the suspect was driving a white minivan or SUV.
