Albemarle County residents sat down for a cup of coffee with police this morning.
On Wednesday, officers with the Jefferson District spent time residents to listen to concerns and talk about what's going on in the community.
The meeting was also a chance for people to get to know the police and have a casual conversation.
"There's so many times when we show up because something has gone wrong and we want people to feel comfortable to come to us at any time, for any reason, to ask questions, because they need us or just because they want to say hi," Sgt. Steve Wilkins said.
This was the first Coffee With A Cop event, but the department hopes to hold more throughout the county.
