Albemarle Co. Supervisors Discuss Projects with Residents

July 25, 2014

The Albemarle County Board of Supervisors is working on their comprehensive plan for the area.

The plan acts as a guide for public projects like schools, parks and libraries, as well as decisions about land use.

Last night, supervisors discussed the Southern and Samuel Miller planning areas, and got feedback from the public about some of the ideas presented.

“I think we're looking for how they want the land used, maybe what their dreams are, and any concerns they might have on how the land might be used to build a greater community for them,” said Supervisor Jane Dittmar.

Officials hope this meeting will help them make an easier decision with a lot of the community's support in the future.
