Tomorrow the Alzheimer’s Association will be celebrating "The Longest Day," a day to honor those dealing with Alzheimer's, but most particularly caregivers.
The Alzheimer’s Association is asking volunteers to divide their day tomorrow into 16 hours: using that time to raise awareness for Alzheimer’s and to help raise funds.
The easiest thing you can do to show your support is wear purple.
"On Saturday, June 21, we want everyone to wear purple," says Sue Friedman, with the Alzheimer's Association. "So when someone says oh you're wearing purple or why are you wearing purple tell them. I'm here to raise awareness for the Alzheimer's Association and the need for research and the care and support of those dealing with Alzheimer's."
For the 16 hours some people plan on biking, walking, even baking.
The Alzheimer's Association says whatever you can do to raise awareness is great.
