The Community Investment Collaborative held its 2nd Annual Wine Tasting and Entrepreneur Showcase at Prince Michel Wine Shop at Carter Mountain Orchard.
The free event featured at least a dozen small businesses ranging from catering, handmade bath products, dessert makers and craft designers.
CIC organizers say a hands-on networking event like Saturday's is the perfect way to grow local businesses..
"I think a lot of them will leave with new connections within the community, potentially new customers. You'll taste some great tomato sauces, food from a caterer or see soap products you might be interested in. Entrepreneurs will have those people on their list and they'll know how to reach them," says Stephen David, Community Investment Collaborative President.
CIC is currently accepting applications for its 17-week entrepreneurship program.
