President Obama's pick for deputy secretary of Homeland Security, Alejandro Mayorkas, is under investigation for his work with Gulf Coast Funds Management (GCFM).
Mayorkas allegedly used the company to secure visas for people who had been previously denied. One of GCFM's clients is GreenTech Automotive, Terry McAuliffe's former company.
Republican candidate Ken Cuccinelli is trying to link McAuliffe to the investigation. However, federal authorities have not implicated McAuliffe or his former company in wrongdoing.
