Area Pools and Beaches Opening for Memorial Day Weekend

May 23, 2013

Pool season starts this weekend right here in Central Virginia, and passes are already available for the pools and spray grounds in the City of Charlottesville.

Season passes start at $23 and daily passes for the Charlottesville pools range from $4 to $6 for residents.

"Wear plenty of sunscreen, drink lots of fluids, keep hydrated throughout the day, especially the hotter it is," said Aquatics Manager Bob Manners. "Just have a good time and always listen to the lifeguard."

Walnut Creek, Mint Springs and Chris Greene Lake will open to the public starting Saturday.
