Barbecue lovers had reason to celebrate on Saturday at Fluvanna County's annual BBQ, Bands & Brews festival.

Families got in on the action that included live music, craft beers and lots of finger-looking food, including ribs, chicken and pulled pork.

Dozens of people were also on hand for the barbecue contest.

The event also featured bounce houses for the kids, and some local businesses showed off their services.

"I know a lot of great vendors here. Obviously, the hat vendors are doing really well because the sun has been very very strong out here," said WCHV radio host Joe Thomas, who attended the event. "I saw some folks from the Fluvanna County Chamber of Commerce. They've got a great tent going on and everyone is just having a great time today."

The annual event was sponsored by the Fluvanna County Chamber of Commerce.
