Baldi Guilty of Embezzling from Charlottesville Restaurant

James Baldi pleads guilty to embezzling more than $20,000 from the Cafe Cubano restaurant.

Last month he pleaded guilty to embezzling from two other businesses in Albemarle County. Baldi had done the accounting and payroll for several area businesses in addition to owning the former Belmont restaurant, Bel Rio

Baldi had spent more than two years on the run after Albemarle Police issued a warrant for his arrest in July of 2010. He was arrested in San Francisco last January.

He will be sentenced in September.
