The annual Battle of the Badges will take place on Sunday, April 10. Area law enforcement members and the Albemarle and Charlottesville Fire Departments will take part in a flag football game.
It costs $2 to attend the game and all proceeds will go towards the fire department's charity and the annual Torch Run which supports the Special Olympics.
The game will be held at Albemarle High School.
"We just ask everyone to come out and support our charities and just have fun," said Sargent Darell Byers, of the Albemarle County Police Department.
The family event will also include activities for children and a raffle. All activities begin at 12 p.m.

Albemarle High School - events begin at 12 noon and the football game kicks off at 2:30. There will be children's events, displays by all public safety agencies, concessions and a silent auction.
The game starts at 2PM, but there are displays and activities for kids that begin around 12. I think there is even a police K-9 demo.
