Should the Belmont Bridge be a bridge or underpass, and should it be a Charlottesville landmark?
An information meeting Wednesday night about the Charlottesville bridge aimed to help people make that decision.
The two options to replace the bridge are either an enhanced bridge or an underpass with a pedestrian bridge overpass designed to be an iconic structure.
"I think it's great. The more public input we can get the better, really. I mean, having a community bridge determined by the community is what everybody wants," said Peter Krebs, a Belmont area resident.
If you missed tonight's meeting there is one more on May 8 at City Space.
City council will listen to the public's opinions on the options on June 19.
