Better World Betty Urges Families to Become Environmentally-Friendly

November 9, 2013

The environmentally-friendly non-profit organization Better World Betty is trying to help families find ways to save the planet by becoming energy efficient in their homes.

Saturday morning Better World Betty held a pancake breakfast as part of “Menu for the Home” campaign.

The goal is to urge families to cut costs and help save the planet. There was a menu that families could check out with a few ways to save on electricity.

One way to save is to replace your toilet for a more energy efficient one, you can also replace your traditional cleaning products with environmentally-friendly versions.

“You can try upping your recycling as a family and there's a fun one about trying to go throughout your house and find your plug loads, so you can start unplugging and putting smart strips in there so you can start saving money on your electricity bill,” says Betty founder Terri Kent.
