A gathering in Charlottesville considered racism in order to collaborate as a group and unite minorities.
The third and final Black Community Town Hall took place Wednesday at the Ebenezer Baptist Church in Charlottesville.
The series, called "Breaking the Chains of Silence," works to discuss and change racism, privilege, and classism in Charlottesville.
Wednesday night's theme focused on successes and leaders in the community.
Michelle Ba'athbates, one of the event's organizers, said the discussions will unite the black community.
"We're going to operate from a united platform. We're going to recognize what each of our individual passions are, find that common ground, and demonstrate what a true collaboration looks like," said Ba'athbates.
Wednesday was the last meeting in the series, but the group intends to continue its work for both the black community and all minorities using media.
