Four seats are up for grabs on the Albemarle County Board of Supervisors. The candidates for the Samuel Miller district seat are both interested in addressing the district’s transportation problems if elected.

Republican candidate Duane Snow is currently on the board and hopes to keep his seat.

Going forward, he wants to get better cellular and internet service to his constituents living in the Samuel Miller district.

“I believe in telling the truth,” says Snow. “I've been here all my life, my family's here; we've been here for generations, so I'm about getting things done and being honest.”

Democratic candidate Liz Palmer is also running for the Samuel Miller seat on the board and is focused on supporting excellence in schools.

“I really want to give back, so I really feel a strong desire to give back to the state and to support public education,” says Palmer.
