A familiar face in Charlottesville elections is making another run for city council.
Community activist Bob Fenwick is entering the race as a Democrat after running as an independent in both 2009 and 2011.
He says since most of his supporters are Democrats, he's excited to be taking on this opportunity and to work with the other councilors to make Charlottesville the best it can be.
"I hope to bring my experience to those problems and I think I've shown that I can think outside the box when it comes to finding solutions so I'm looking forward to a spirited debate during the campaign," Fenwick says.
The Democratic primary will be held June 11.
Fenwick said he has heard a lot about public safety, taxes and fees and local businesses as he got his petition signatures around the community so he hopes to bring those issues to the forefront of his campaign.
