BRIDGEWATER, Va. (AP) - Bridgewater College plans to break ground later this month for a $9 million renovation and expansion of Nininger Hall.
The project will add up to 16,000 square feet to the building. Nininger Hall houses the school's athletics programs and the department of health and human sciences.
Bridgewater says the project includes a renovated gymnasium, updated classrooms and laboratory for the health and human sciences program, renovated faculty and coaches offices, new locker rooms, a training and rehab center, a strength and conditioning facility and a team room.
A turf field and lights will be installed at Jopson Field.
A groundbreaking ceremony is set for July 18.
