The Virginia State Police have once again issued a senior alert on behalf of the Buckingham County Sheriff's Office.

Buckingham authorities are searching for 67-year-old Richard Joseph Kwiatkowski was last seen on Route 15 in the Bremo Bluff area of Fluvanna County on Jan. 12. He was driving a white 2000 Chevrolet S-10 pickup truck with license plate JKC-5456.

Authorities had no new information to release Friday on the status or progress of the case.

Kwiatkowski is described as an elderly man with blue eyes and brown hair, standing 6'1" tall and weighing approximately 206 pounds.

Authorities say he suffers from a cognitive impairment and the disappearance poses a credible threat to his health and safety. They say he may have been heading to a previous residence in Maryland.

Anyone who makes contact with Kwiatkowski is asked to contact the Buckingham County Sheriff's Office at 434-969-1772 or their local law enforcement agency.

Sara, sorry to hear about your agony. Was he seen at the Bluff driving or stopped somewhere? Where in Maryland is his former residence? Would he have gone straight up Rt. 15 to Culpeper, then up Rt. 29 to Maryland. There seem to be a lot of missing folks lately from this area, all for varied reasons. R.I.P.: Screaming Lord Sutch

Alot of people are looking for him, nonstop. How I know this? He is my grandfather, and I know all about this. All his children and sister and brother in-laws are always there looking for him or his truck for hours non-stop everyday. Also the police are looking too. I also heard that there was a helicopter flying around, but still no luck. I hope he is found soon.

This man is still missing. Why is no one covering this story? Also, according to his wife, he left his home to go get a newspaper and never came back. Is anyone even looking for him?!?!
