Kevin Burchardt, 33, from Amherst Co. was arrested back in December after he was accused of breaking into multiple homes in Fluvanna Co.
Now police say he is facing 19 charges which include armed burglary, grand larceny, armed robbery, use of a firearm, vandalism and sale of stolen property.
Albemarle Co. police are now asking about other crimes that Burchardt may have committed last year.
"The way he did a lot of these crimes is he would knock and pose as a police officer or as an investigator and try and see if the homes were empty," says Carter Johnson from the Albemarle Co. Police Department. "So people might recognize his face or recognize the vehicles and we're hoping that if they do and if he was in the area from that October to December time frame, then maybe we can link him to additional crimes."
Detective Giles from the Albemarle Co. Police Dept. is asking if you have seen Burchardt or either his green jeep or white chevy tahoe during October to December of last year, to give him a call at (434) 972-4047.
Burchardt is currently being held at the Central Virginia Regional Jail in Orange Co. with no bond.
