After a nationwide search, the Charlottesville-Albemarle Airport has a new chief.
The airport authority announced Saturday that Melinda Crawford will be CHO's new executive director, replacing Barbara Hutchinson, who resigned in February.
Crawford currently serves as the airport director of the Pensacola Florida International Airport. Under her leadership, Pensacola International was named Florida's Commercial Airport of the Year in 2011.
Crawford will begin on March 1, 2013, if not earlier.
