The North Charlottesville Business Council hosted a forum for candidates for the Albemarle County Board of Supervisors at the Holiday Inn on Emmet Street.
The candidates for all four districts attended the event, which included a luncheon, and spoke to the public about their stance on businesses in Central Virginia.
Some of those who attended say business and the economy are key issues to them.
"It’s critical that the community understand how regulatory hurdles can hinder business,” said Neil Williams, president of the Enterprise Four. “When business is hindered you have the opportunity for increased property taxes because commercial taxes aren't coming in."
