ROSELAND, Va. (AP) - A car show has raised $5,000 to support the family of a missing Nelson County teenager.

The News & Advance reports some of the Corvettes, Mustangs and hot-rod cars were adorned with pink bows and ribbons Saturday.

Street Elements Auto Club president Chad Turner says the car show at a field in Roseland was free to the public but donations were accepted.

Seventeen-year-old Alexis Murphy of Lovingston disappeared Aug. 3. A 48-year-old suspect was arrested Aug. 11 and has been held without bond.

A grand jury meets Sept. 24 to whether or not to issue an indictment.
