A Charlottesville store forced to close for nearly a month after feeling the effects of a fire could soon see a boost in business thanks to the Charlottesville Cash Mob.
The Happy Cook reopened on Feb. 2 after being closed for 26 days. The store sustained a lot of damage when its neighboring shop, Plow & Hearth, caught on fire in early January.
Now, the Cash Mob is targeting the Happy Cook all week long, starting Monday.
The mob strikes once a month and floods local businesses with cash in a short period of time.
Starting Feb. 11 and running through Saturday, Feb. 16, the cash mob is encouraging locals to visit the Happy Cook to boost both their spirits and their bottom line after the unexpected closure last month.
