Digging one or two cars out of the snow can be a lot of work. But what if you had to dig, scrape and wipe off over 200 cars this morning?
Dealerships around the City of Charlottesville had deal with the snow in a different way on Friday morning. In order to clear all the vehicles of snow, each dealership does it differently.
The Brown Toyota lot drives all their vehicles to a garage so they can plow the lot and return later. Another one of their dealerships, with over 200 cars, hires a crew of 5 people to clear the entire lot of snow. This crew is also used for general maintenance during any type of weather event.
Flow automotive does it a little differently. When asked, the General Manager Chris Wilson said "you're looking at it. All hands on deck, everybody kind of volunteers, and comes out and does the best they can to remove the snow so that we're ready for business."
Wilson also mentioned that they do see an increase in sales of four wheel drive vehicles, as people reevaluate their current vehicle capabilities.
