The Charlottesville City Market started back up on Saturday morning from 7 a.m. to noon downtown.

With beautiful weather and lots of traffic from the marathon, it was a successful first day back for the city market.

There were greens, produce, flowers and great food with a sea of people enjoying the market and the weather.

Families and vendors who have been going for years are ready for another great year and those new to the city market family are honored to be part of it.

"We're so excited to be here, it's our first time and everyone's out today with the great weather," said Melissa Garvis of Noteworthy cards. "We love creating note cards because we just feel like it's a lost art, we love to hand these out to people and know that they're going to write a letter and send it to somebody."

The city market's future location is still up in the air but this season they'll continue downtown, every Saturday from 7 a.m. until noon.
