Charlottesville Man Charged with Fraud

A Charlottesville man is facing charges of obtaining money by false pretenses.

William Pierce is accused of claiming to be a representative of the National Veterans and Wellness Healing Center in New Mexico and unlawfully asking for money.

Investigators say, Pierce collected more than $5,000.

Pierce is out of jail on bond.
