A Charlottesville man has been sentenced in the stabbing of another man on the Downtown Mall in July of last year.
Frederick Thomas has been sentenced to 20-years in prison for the stabbing.
Fifteen-years and 6-months of that sentence were suspended.
He has also been ordered to pay more than $500 in restitution.
Thomas reportedly stabbed the victim 3-times, before the victim was able to flag down a police officer.
He pleaded guilty to a malicious wounding charge in September.
