Valentine's Day is a week away, but some special couples celebrated early.

Charlottesville Parks & Recreation hosted its annual Daddy Daughter Dance at Carver Rec Center on Friday night.

Dads, uncles, and grandpas could take their little Valentine out for a night of dancing.

Songs included the "Chicken Dance," the "Hokey Pokey," "Cupid Shuffle," "Brown Eyed Girl," and many more.

Father Darren brought daughters Lexi and Ryan to the dance.

"They wanted to come. A little daddy-daughter time. And they try to make me dance," he joked.

There is one more Daddy Daughter Dance Satruday night night but it's sold out. To reserve a spot for you and your "date" on the waitlist, visit the event page.
