Charlottesville Police Investigate Apparent Armed Robbery

Charlottesville Police are investigating an apparent armed robbery that they say occurred around 5 a.m. Sunday morning.

Police say a man reported that two people approached him while walking in the 800-block of Prospect Avenue. The man told police the suspects took an undisclosed amount of cash at gunpoint.

The alleged victim was not injured but went to the University of Virginia Medical Center as a precaution.
