Two Charged in Home Invasion, Stabbing

UPDATE April 17, 2014

Two men are facing charges in what police say was a home invasion and stabbing on the 2100 block of Angus Road.

Henrico Police arrested 27 year old Edgar Edward Swingler and 22 year old James Hope Turner, III in a 2004 BMW that was reported stolen from the home in Charlottesville. Swingler and Turner are facing robbery, grand larceny, malicious wounding, and firearms charges.

Two other men in the car were also arrested, but are facing less serious charges.

Charlottesville police are continuing to investigate a reported home invasion and stabbing.

It happened around 10 p.m. Tuesday night in the 2100-block of Angus Road.

Police say a man forced his way into a home and stabbed a person inside.

The victim suffered non-life threatening injuries to his torso.

The suspect then stole a car from the home, which was later recovered by police in another jurisdiction.
