Charlottesville Police Investigating Hit and Run Incident

Charlottesville Police are looking for a driver of a red and grey pick truck. They say the driver of that truck slammed into the back of another car this afternoon and took off.

The incident caused a 46 year old Buckingham County woman to be sent to University of Virginia Medical Center with minor injuries.

Police say she was at the intersection of Ridge Street and 5th street in Charlottesville when the truck hit her car.

Police say the pick truck is damaged on the right passenger side and ask if anyone has information about the incident to call Crime Stoppers at (434) 977-4000.
