The City of Charlottesville has begun its search for this year's official holiday tree.
Officials are asking for a donation of an evergreen tree at least 25-feet tall for the Grand Illumination, the city's annual holiday celebration
Removal of the tree will be handled by city staff, and the resident who donates it will be recognized at the tree lighting.
Anyone interested in donating a tree should contact Tim Hughes, Urban Forester at 434-970-3587 or firstname.lastname@example.org
The Grand Illumination, which will also be accompanied by music and caroling, will take place November 29, 2013 on the Downtown Mall.
