The Charlottesville School Board needs a solution for a budget gap of over a million dollars.
The School Board met Thursday night to discuss the 2013-2014 budget.
The public was also given a chance to comment, but only one person shared her thoughts with the board.
Superintendent Rosa Atkins says, they're trying to stay as far away as they can from the classrooms in terms of making cuts.
But members of the board know that every decision will be difficult
"I think February 13th, work session is going to be where we make some really tough decisions," says Jennifer McKeevert of the School Board. "We've been asking a lot of questions and I think at that point we'll be able to get some responses to be able to make some of these important decisions."
The School Board will present the approved 2013-2014 budget to Charlottesville City Council on March 4.
