People in Charlottesville had a chance to drink a beer and watch films under the stars all while supporting the community.
The Clips Beer and Film Tour came to Charlottesville's Washington Park Friday night.
New Belgium Brewing put on the free event as part of a nationwide tour. New Belgium is the maker of Fat Tire Amber Ale and other Belgian-inspired beers.
Guests could try New Belgium's offerings, eat food from local vendors, and watch some short films.
All of the beer sale proceeds went to the local nonprofits Better World Betty and the Charlottesville Area Mountain Bike Club.
"I hope they have fun. I hope they enjoy the beer and I hope they enjoy the films. I hope they learn a little bit about the activities of Better World Betty and the Charlottesville Area Mountain Bike Club. But really its all about fun. It's just a good community building event," said David Stackhouse, the Charlottesville Area Mountain Bike Club president.
Better World Betty works to empower people and businesses with the tools they need to be more environmentally sustainable.
The Charlottesville Area Mountain Bike Club works to keep local and regional trails open.
