Clown Visits Kids at UVa. Medical Center

April 7, 2014

On Monday, patients at the University of Virginia Children's Hospital were treated to a performance by J-Man the clown.

He's the ambassador of laughter for the Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Circus.

J-Man showed off some juggling skills, and brought lots of smiles and laughter to families at the hospital.

The goal is to bring a little bit of the circus to those who might not otherwise be able to attend a performance.

"You can still look into their eyes and see the joy and sparkle," says J-Man the Clown. "So that's what I like to see, that little sparkle in their eyes. I like seeing her smile, and just to have an external source of happiness other than going to school and being around mom and dad."

The Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Circus is bringing its show to the John Paul Jones Arena in Charlottesville next month.
