No New Year's Eve plans? There will be plenty going on Tuesday night on the Downtown Mall in Charlottesville as part of First Night Virginia.
First Night's organizers say children and adults will certainly be entertained by the medley of performances and events.
"You could go listen to some big band swing if you want to at 3:00 in the afternoon, or you could go see a hypnotist and have a little fun at The Paramount. There's something for adults starting at 3:00, there's something for kids starting at 3:00, but we also have a lot of stuff that goes into the evening," said First Night Vice President Drake Van de Castle.
This is First Night's 32nd year. Previous years have expanded throughout the city, but Van de Castle says this year they have found a happy medium. By keeping events centrally located all on the downtown mall, but finding additional venues, 20 more events were added this year.
First Night kicks off at 3:00 p.m. Tuesday on the Downtown mall. Tickets are still available.
