An Albemarle County home is considered a total loss after a fire Sunday afternoon.

It broke out in the 4200 block of Dick Woods Road, just west of Interstate 64's exit 114.

The fire began around 4:30 p.m. at the two-story home. Albemarle County Fire Rescue remained on the scene beyond 9 p.m.

Multiple departments helped battle the fire. The home is far from the road, so crews had to pump water to the house.

Crews said it was too early to determine a cause, but no one was hurt.
