A Charlottesville construction project will likely cause some delays for your commute.
Crews are in the process of installing temporary traffic lights at the intersection of Route 250 and McIntire Road, as part of the new interchange project.
As a result, police will be directing traffic while poles and wires are moved, which could result in some temporary road closures.
"It shouldn't be for a long period of time," said Charlottesville Police Lieutenant Ronnie Roberts. "The thing that I need to remind the motorists is that there's going to be a lot of people that are going to be delayed for a good 5 minutes or so while they get those wires across the road. It could be a little bit longer."
The entire process of installing the temporary traffic lights should take about two days to complete.
