Charlottesville firefighters were called to the 1500 block of Carlton Ave. for a mobile home fire. It happened around 2:42 am in a Charlottesville neighborhood.
"Upon arrival crews experienced heavy smoke conditions, with a working fire in the trailer," says Battalion chief Rich Jones of the Charlottesville Fire Department. "They quickly got inside, did a primary and secondary search, established there were no occupants inside the trailer."
No one was injured, but neighbors believed that they heard noises like explosions.
"When I opened the door, I saw that the trailer was smoky, so my neighbor told me that he heard three big noises that popped the windows from the neighbors," says Josuet Bernardo, neighbor.
The owner of the mobile home was at work when the fire started
Fire officials are still investigating the cause of the fire and explained that no one was inside when they arrived.
